The term “blog” comes from the contraction of web and log. Readers/participants can post contents on a specific topic over a defined period of time, as if they were filling in a diary: the difference from a diary being that posts are shared with other readers and, differently from a web site, readers can also interact with each other. Blogs are also updated more frequently.
