CAMI

CAMI, the acronym Computer Assisted Mobile Interviewing, refers to the technique that allows telephone interviews to be conducted via mobile phones. The method is similar to the CATI one: telephone interviews completed through a programme that shows the programmed questionnaire on a monitor, guides the interview by showing the questions in the right order, skipping the irrelevant questions as per routing instructions and automatically records answers on a specific data file. The difference is that, with the ever increasing distribution of mobile phones among people, substituting the use of landlines, respondents are reached and interviewed more easily on their mobile devices.
