Pricing check is a specific application of the mystery shopping methodology: fieldcheckers blend into sales points (both indoor and outdoor) and, pretending to be real customers, record prices and characteristics of products\/services in order to enable their analysis in comparison with competitors.\nDifferently from the mystery shopping, no interaction with the vendors is implied, nor any qualitative evaluation of their work (reception, professionalism, etc.).
